Libertarian Party Participates in Downtown Trick or Treat!
Thanks to the Teehaus, we had a prime location for Warrensburg's Downtown Trick or Treat. Bill passed out around 2000 pieces of candy to the kids while Randy put over 600 pieces of literature in parents' hands.
Libertarian Party Participates in Parades!
We were in the UCM homecoming parade on 10/25/08 under the auspices of the Campus Libertarians. Three of our members walked the route & gave out quite a bit of candidate literature.
We also had a car display in the Clinton Olde Glory Days parade and will give out literature (& candy) at downtown Trick or Treat on 10/31.
Libertarian Party Participates in CMSU Welcome!
The Johnson County Libertarian Party had a booth at CMSU's "Get the Red Out" street fair again this year. We passed out a lot of party information and recruit CMSU students to join the College Libertarian chapter here.

Libertarians Oppose Smoking Ban!
5/15/07 - The Johnson County Libertarian Party announced today that it will oppose any move to impose a smoking ban at local bars and restaurants. A UCM Republican leader broached the subject to the Warrensburg City Council on 5/14, and Libertarians in attendance pased out an anti-ban fact sheet. Libertarian Party Fights Wal-Mart Tax!
The Johnson County Libertarian Party has initiated a fight to prevent the City Council from entering into an agreement with Hawthorne Developers and Wal-Mart to impose a 1/2 cent sales tax on Wal-Mart shoppers. This tax has no public purpose, and would merely go to create roads and infrastructure in the Hawthorne Development. Local Libertarians at State Fair
Six local Libertarians helped work the Missouri LP booth at the Missouri State Fair. Randy Langkraehr was primary organizer of the LP presence.
